Yuusuke Murate is the artist of the energetic and humorous sports manga 'Eye Shield 21'. Written by Riichirô Inagaki, the manga deals with a bullied kid who becomes successful in his high school's American football team. Initially serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, the manga is also published in English by VIZ Media. It has been adapted into an anime movie in 2004, an anime television series in 2005, and a computer game.
